The mission of Congaree Elementary School is to join with parents and community in order to provide a safe and nurturing environment where students are taught to take responsibility for becoming academically competent learners, critical thinkers, problem solvers, and respectable citizens so they may participate in a multi-ethnic society where their character always counts.

 

 

The education of our children is the responsibility of all stakeholders-the community, school, parents, and students.

 

Each child is capable of developing self-discipline and sustaining the desire to learn.

 

Character building within the school and community promotes the development of educated, productive, and responsible citizens.

 

Learning is the chief priority of our school where each child is recognized as having an individual learning style and is given numerous opportunities to experience success.

 

Curriculum, instructional strategies, and learning activities are driven by clear goals and high expectations for student achievement.

 

Students not only demonstrate their understanding of essential knowledge and skills, but should be actively involved in solving problems and producing quality work.

 

Technology skills are essential for success in today’s society; therefore, all children have the opportunity to become computer literate.
